Vintage Jet-black rayon taffeta gown is sleeveless with a boat neckline. The bodice is an empire in style with darts for a good fit. The empire waist is trimmed with black velvet piping and from that, the waist is princess seamed and flares out at the hem. I love the way the tiny black velvet bow and covered buttons form a line down to the opening in front where a triple-layered pink tulle petticoat peeks out . Pink and black are THE- quintessential colors of the fifties! It has a full-back metal zipper and an additional pink tulle petticoat under the skirt. No label.

CONDITION: Excellent NOTE- the only flaw is that the taffeta lining of the front pink tulle panel has some light yellow stains. This is not noticeable when wearing the dress as it is covered by black panels.
