Love this dramatic yet simple Bill Blass silk gown! With a strong nod to the shapes of the thirties with its halter neck and bias cut draped skirt that flows to the ground. The arms are cut deep and low and the front neckline has a cowl detailing with a swatch of bright pink silk set just inside the cowl so you get a flash of pink and it also serves to keep you covered as the dotted portion plunges quite low!. The waist has pleating gathered in at the center waist which gives it a Grecian goddess effect. The silk is very light and fine - scarf weight. A beauty! Excellent condition!
Unlined and closes with a low back, painted metal zipper. Above the waist to the neck it has fabric covered buttons and loops. Hand rolled and finished edges. Note the gown is cut on the bias so the measurements are a reflection of that - it will drape into place. The waist is the most important to check!
