A dramatic and beautiful silk jersey gown by the great Bill Blass. The gown itself is already jaw dropping but then in typical Blass style he further ups the ante with the addition of 5" wide sable cuffs! The dress is made of a cream jersey that drapes beautifully. It has a definitive nod to the 30s in its cut but he has exaggerated some elements to make it thoughourly modern and seventies couture feeling! It gathers up and over the bodice in hand set soft pleats. The tie is long and attached so you can cinch in for shape as much as you desire. The skirt falls on a perfect sheath to the floor. The sleeves are of course the showstopper. Each widens as it nears the cuff and the fur edging helps hold the wide bell shape, They are each a full 20" around! Excellent condition.
Lined through the bodice in a silky rayon with the sleeves and skirt left unlined. The cuffs are hand stitched into place as is the zipper. Closes with a hidden set zipper and has a waist stay inside.
