A remarkable and couture level piece by Donald Brooks. The workmanship and fabrication of this gown is an absolute dream! The exterior is a rich and intricate combination of cording coiled and hand stitched into place over a screened net base. The net based was first screened with a brilliant floral design and the cording follows this design. The contract created by the cording, the flowers and the red lining underneath is stunning! Everything about this gown screams couture. I love how the flowers trail down the skirt in panels adding height to the wearer and then ring the hem. The neck is high and the sleeves billow above the wrist. It is nipped in at the waist by a wide band and the skirt and bodice feel loose and open above and below. It is truly a wonderful and extraordinary gown and an amazing example of his work and flair for the dramatic! Excellent, appears unworn condition!
